About Me

I am a PhD student in Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am a founding member of the Biomedical Modeling, Visualization and Image-guided Navigation Lab, supervised by Dr. Cristian Linte. My PhD research focuses on segmentation of cardiac chambers from multi-dimensional, multi-modal imaging datasets. I am also interested in classical machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, image registration, and image-guided interventions and modeling.
I completed my Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. I implemented a image guided robotic navigation system in FPGA for my undergraduate thesis. As I realized the difficulty for machines to perform simple vision tasks trivial for humans, I decided to pursue this topic further.
I enjoy hiking and traveling to new places. I play soccer for fitness and fun.
